the agreement.
The same plain voice as everything else here. By using WriteYourDay, you’re agreeing to this — so we kept it short and true.
the shape of the thing
Two rules are the product, not fine print. One entry a day— when today’s page is committed, the writing box closes until tomorrow. And the ink dries— an hour after you publish a day, it seals: it can’t be edited after that, the way a real diary can’t be un-written. Write honestly the first time.
your words are yours
You own everything you writehere. We don’t claim it. When you publishan entry, you give us only the narrow license we need to store it and show it to other readers under your pseudonym — nothing more. Private entries we hold only so that you can read them back; we don’t use them for anything else, and we never train anything on your words.
who can be here
You must be at least 13 years old to write here — and at least 16 if you’re in the EEA. This is a space for honest adult and teenage life, not for children.
names & anonymity
Everyone writes under a pseudonym; your real name is never shown, and one entry a day is all the room gives you — no second account to perform from. In return, two rules: don’t try to uncover or reveal who another writer is, and don’t impersonateanyone. Protecting the mask is what keeps this place honest.
what gets you removed
This is a quiet room. You lose your place in it for:
- content that harms or threatens another person.
- doxxing— exposing someone’s private identity or whereabouts.
- spam, promotion, or anything trying to sell or recruit.
- anything illegal.
moderation & safety
You can report any published entry or letter, and a person reviews it. Automated checks run quietly in the background only— to flag possible crisis content and disguised spam for a human to look at — they never read, rank, or touch your writing. If something suggests you’re in danger, we respond with crisis resources, gently. We may remove content or suspend or end accounts that break these rules.
as-is
We build this with care, but the service is provided “as is.”We can’t promise it will never go down or never have a bug, and we’re not liable for what that costs you. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give you fair warning and a way to take your words with you.
governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India. We may update these terms; the date below always shows the last change, and continuing to use the app means you accept the current version.
